Headshots

You are probably on this page because you've looked through my work and hopefully you like what you have seen.  You are also wondering what does it cost to hire me for my services. I shoot between 4-6 different looks during a session. I like to give everyone a wide range of looks so that you are able to use multiple shots for different marketing purposes. I’ll get into clothing a little later, but basically I ask that you bring a ton of your favorite stuff.  I don’t put a strict limit on the number of shots I take and shoot each look until I feel we’ve gotten it covered. As you can tell from the shots on my website, I like to shoot in a horizontal format. If you feel you need vertical shots or 3/4 shots during your session just let me know and I'd be happy to shoot them for you as well.

COST AND SCHEDULING

My Fee: I don't post my rates online. Just give me a call, shoot me a text, or email me and I can give you a quote.  Be sure to let me know what it is you need them for and I'll be sure you get exactly what you need.

WHAT TO WEAR

I ask that everyone bring at least 10 and maximum 15 different looks for themselves (tops only, unless you want some 3/4 shots). I like to decide what you will wear from a wide range of clothing. Rule #1: You have to love it! I don't want to shoot anything that you don't feel comfortable wearing. Never dress with the thought that you would book a certain role if you wore a particular outfit.  If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you won’t shoot well while wearing it.   Remember, be yourself because this is where you can get some of your own personal style into the shot.  People always ask me what colors are best and I really don't have an answer for that.   It's better for me to get a visual of something, so I suggest bringing a wide variety of colors.  I have actually been surprised in the past by my clients bringing a top that off the bat I don't think will work and it turns out to look great on camera.  Don't be seasonal, everything from t-shirts, tank tops to sweaters and light jackets can work.  I love textures and layers, but would generally stay away from crazy patterns.  If it's not in the studio we can't shoot it, so don't fool around here.  If you find yourself questioning whether or not something will work just bring it along.  I also suggest having some fun with this, if you feel your wardrobe is missing something then go shopping and we'll keep the tags on it and you can return the items you don't want to keep after the shoot.  I have a steamer, so don't worry about anything being wrinkled.

HAIR & MAKEUP

Women

Makeup for the session is required for all women. Some women I shoot are very comfortable doing their own make-up but I strongly encourage hiring one of my professional make-up artists.  The cost is $200 but you have got to trust me in this area.  I shoot headshots on a weekly basis great make up is critical for a fresh professional look. My MUA's start by giving clients a very clean look and add makeup as we go.  The makeup artist is there throughout the session in order to give you a subtle range of looks. I ask that everyone come in with their hair ready as if they are going to an audition, the hair in your headshot should match the way you will look in person.  You are in charge here and your hair has to look like something that you can recreate for your auditions.

Men

It's not required, but men can hire a makeup artist if you feel you need grooming on the shoot for $100.  Also, for the guys who grow decent scruff or feel you can market yourself in that direction, you can come in with a some growth and we'll shoot until we feel we've gotten it covered and then you can shave, so bring your razor, etc.

AFTER THE SHOOT - WHAT ABOUT MY PHOTOS?

When do I get my headshots?

The way that I present headshots to my clients is first I create a private folder that only you can access with a password.  I will take all the images from the shoot and put all the "good" ones in one folder.  I will set up another folder with the ones I deem the "best" from the shoot.  This process typically takes 24-48 hours. From there you can download or print directly from my site.  If you wish to have particular images edited and retouched then you have the option within the folder to create your own favorites folder which you can email me.  I will then edit those photographs.  The turn around time for edits is typically one week.

How do I get my photographs off your website?

When you enter your private gallery there will be a button at the top right corner of the screen that say's "Download".  Its pretty self explanatory.  From here you will be asked if you wish to download the entire gallery or select the images you want.  All images selected will be placed onto you desktop or into your downloads folder.
